1)  Who are the members of The First United Church of Christ?

We are a Christian congregation united in sharing the cost and joy of discipleship.

 

2)  Where is The First United Church of Christ located?

We are centrally located at 30 North Pitt Street in Carlisle PA convenient to Dickinson College, The Army War College, and easily accessible by Rt 81. 

 

3)  What is the founding religion of The United Church of Christ?

The United Church of Christ (UCC) is a mainline, calvinist, Protestant Christian denomination principally in the United States, primarily in the Reformed tradition, but also historically influenced by Lutheranism. 

     

4)  When are services held?

Saturday evenings at 5:30pm, Sunday at 8:00am & 10:45am

During the summer months our Sunday late service is held at 10:00am

 

5)  What social activities are available?

Multiple men's, women's and family events are held monthly.  There are a number of activities going on at First United Church of Christ, such as Bible study groups, game nights, skating parties, picnics, talent shows and special music performances, etc.

The Christian Education program offers multiple opportunities for members and visitors of all ages from nursery care and school-age Sunday School through a variety of Adult Sunday School classes.
