| Vacation Bible School (VBS) |
Four evenings, usually Monday through Thrusday 6:00pm-8:00pm, in summer under one theme, with a Bible lesson, songs, arts and crafts, snacks and activities, VBS is for ages 4 through grade 5. |
| Confirmation Program |
For youths in grades 7 and/or 8, September through May. The Confirmation Celebration is typically held on Pentecost Sunday. Confirmation at First United Church of Christ’s goal with Confirmation is to initiate our Youth into the Church and educate them about its joys, mysteries and responsibilities. As part of the Confirmation journey we strive to educate and involve them in what it means to be a Christian in the world today. Confirmation candidates meet with pastors for Sunday School class. Every confirmation candidate has a mentor. The class participates in field trips and in a weekend retreat. |

| Parables |
Beginning this month, Phil Harner will offer an adult class on the parables of Jesus. Using two paperbacks by James W. Moore (Jesus' Parables of Grace and Jesus' Parables of Life), the group will view the parables as "glimpses of the kingdom" and discuss how they can apply to life today. As a group, we will be taking a trip to New York City in May for an Independent Book Store tour! Book Chat meets each 1st and 3rd Sunday from 9:15a.m. – 10:30a.m. in the parlor. All are welcome to join in lively conversation, home-baked goodies, friendship and fellowship! |
